CAFÉ-RESTAURANT KANRESTA
The Kuopio Music Centre restaurant services are provided by Kanresta Ltd. Kanresta is a subsidiary of the Finnish Association for Public Health. Kanresta has provided cafeteria services nationwide for over 30 years and operated in the catering sector since 1994. When you use the services of Kanresta, you support the voluntary public health member organizations of the association, which include the Foundation for Paediatric Research, the Finnish Association for Mental Health and the Central union for the Welfare of the Aged.
Kanresta has 15 outlets around the country. It is in charge of the catering services also for example in the Sibelius Hall in Lahti, Tampere Hall and Restaurant Einstein at the Science Centre Heureka in Vantaa. In 2005 Kanresta had about 250 employees. The most recent outlet, Verkatehdas in Hämeenlinna, was opened in 2007.
Kanresta has been operating in the catering sector in Finland since 1994. Whatever the occasion - be it a congress with a thousand participants, a gala dinner, a seminar lunch or an intimate corporate or family celebration - Kanresta will be happy to cater for your culinary needs. The Kanresta cafeteria located on the first floor of the Music Centre, in the Hall of Light, can seat a little over 120 customers. The cafeteria is normally open on weekdays between 9 am. - 4 pm. and in connection to most events in the house.
The Hall of Light is an excellent setting for catering gala dinners, buffet lunches and dinners as well cocktails for over 1,000 people.
The Music Centre Jazz Club's restaurant can serve to over 200 customers for example during the Jazz concerts produced by the Association of Kuopio Jazz & Blues.
The Hall of Light Café is open:
On weekdays mainly from 9 am. Until 4 pm.
On concert evenings 1 hour before the start of the concert (including drink bars in the Concert Hall Foyer)
